My favorite dessert

I love desserts so much! I like chocolate, pudding, cakes, candies, ice creams, fruits and so on. Do you know Amamiya? It's a sweets restaurant in Kamitori Street, but it has some normal menu such as Udon, Soba, and curry rice. I think many people who like sweets have already known or been there. It has many kinds of parfait. Last year, I sometimes went there after my part-time job. However, I realized that I spent much money after it and working hard had no meaning! What was worse is that I gained weight. Then, I began to buy ice creams after the job at convenience stores. Recently I haven't eaten food a lot, so I haven't been interested in sweets. It's good to me but I wonder I'll become an excess eater in winter again.  (142 words)

Essay 2-01b: The Nicest Restaurant in Downtown Kumamoto

There are a lot of nice restaurants and cafeterias in downtown Kumamoto, but their service is sometimes bad or the prices are too high for many college students who want to go out. Here’s the great-granddaddy of them all.

It’s R. K. T’s. Here is a map showing the location of the restaurant. It’s situated near Shimotori Street, on the left side of Sakae Street in the first basement. The name of the building is Soshu Building. It’s a fairly large restaurant, so customers who don’t make a reservation can almost always come in.

In the restaurant, there are various kinds of dishes, such as salads, carpaccio, snacks, pizza, spaghetti, and steak. There are different dinner courses depending on time and what’s special on the menu. Customers can eat and drink as much as they want. If they pay 2,000 to 3,000 yen per person, they can order most of the dishes. There are also a plenty of drinks. Compared with many restaurants and bars, the taste of alcohol is so nice. It’s rather reasonable than other restaurants and the atmosphere is also good.

Unique points of the restaurant are that there are some pieces of paper for customers to use to order dishes, and they can also write how many people eat them or can make them serving larger than usual if they want. Moreover, the restaurant gives the customers good service. For example, it serves several pieces of cake for service because they don’t eat too much. Also, there has service day that the customers can eat and drink until whenever they’d like to. Of course the price [of the all-you-can-eat special] is the same as usual. It costs 3,000 yen per person and they can eat and drink as much as they want.

In conclusion, R. K. T. is the nicest restaurant because it’s reasonable, nice atmosphere, a little attention for the customers, and there is abundant food and drink menu, though the servers sometimes work too slowly.

Essay 2-01a: A nice restaurant I have been many times

I'm going to tell you about my favorite restaurant. I really like to eat out in downtown Kumamoto. Though there are a lot of restaurants and cafes I could recommend, today I'll choose one.

It's R. K. T's. It's situated in Sakae Street, near Shimotori Street. When you go into Shimotori from PARCO, go up the street and turn right at the 3rd corner. Next, you go straight until you find a pachinko game building and turn left. Then you can find the left side on the first basement. The name of the building is Soshu Building.

There are some dinner courses depend on time and the variety of menu. You can eat and drink as much as I can. If you pay ¥2,000 to ¥3,000, you can choose most of them. They have various kinds of menu, such as salads, carpaccio, snacks, pizzas, spaghettis, and steaks. They also have a plenty of drinks. Compared with some restaurants and bars, the taste of alcohol is nice. It's rather reasonable than other restaurants and the atmosphere is also good. In addition, even if you don't make a reservation, you can almost always go in.

Unique points of the restaurant are that when you order some food, you have to write them down on a piece of paper. You can also write how many guests eat it and can make it serving larger than usual if you want. In addition, if you go there and you don't eat too much, they may give you some service. For example, when my girlfriend and I when there and both of us didn't eat a lot, they gave us several pieces of cake for their service. Also, you can sometimes eat and drink there until whenever you'd like to. The price is the same as usual. A couple of days ago, I went there with my boyfriend and my girlfriend. We could eat and drink for a long time and it cost ¥3,000.

In conclusion, I really like this restaurant because it's reasonable, nice atmosphere, a little attention for the guests, and there is abundant food and drink menu. Though they sometimes serve too slowly, I think I will keep going there. If you feel like going there, why don't you go there?  (378 words)

My favorite place 1

I’m going to tell you about one of my favorite places. It’s my workplace. I’ve worked at a steak restaurant for a year and 3 months. It’s located in Kaminoura Street, near Namikizaka Street. Its name is Steak House Yodogawa. Though I usually work as a waitress, I also prepare some dishes. Since April, I’ve worked with my friend, Misaki.

At first, I couldn’t work well and my boss often scolded me, however, I got used to working there as I worked many times. Now, I have a lot of junior staff and I usually teach them how to do the tasks.

Good points are that extra meals after working are always delicious and my coworkers are kind. They celebrated my birthday 2 weeks ago.
