This summer, I went to Minnesota to study English, so I had always written down the English vocabulary I didn’t memorize. I used English all the time and I tried to talk to my host family and all teachers in English. After I came back to Japan, I had to study all the subjects I took in the last semester to take extra final exams. I read resumes and utilized Power Words. I couldn’t study enough, so I’ll try to do harder in the fall semester. I’d like to do my daily assignments more often as I don’t have to do them in a hurry when the semester finishes. (109 words)

Essay 2-01a: A nice restaurant I have been many times
I'm going to tell you about my favorite restaurant. I really like to eat out in downtown Kumamoto. Though there are a lot of restaurants and cafes I could recommend, today I'll choose one.
It's R. K. T's. It's situated in Sakae Street, near Shimotori Street. When you go into Shimotori from PARCO, go up the street and turn right at the 3rd corner. Next, you go straight until you find a pachinko game building and turn left. Then you can find the left side on the first basement. The name of the building is Soshu Building.
There are some dinner courses depend on time and the variety of menu. You can eat and drink as much as I can. If you pay ¥2,000 to ¥3,000, you can choose most of them. They have various kinds of menu, such as salads, carpaccio, snacks, pizzas, spaghettis, and steaks. They also have a plenty of drinks. Compared with some restaurants and bars, the taste of alcohol is nice. It's rather reasonable than other restaurants and the atmosphere is also good. In addition, even if you don't make a reservation, you can almost always go in.
Unique points of the restaurant are that when you order some food, you have to write them down on a piece of paper. You can also write how many guests eat it and can make it serving larger than usual if you want. In addition, if you go there and you don't eat too much, they may give you some service. For example, when my girlfriend and I when there and both of us didn't eat a lot, they gave us several pieces of cake for their service. Also, you can sometimes eat and drink there until whenever you'd like to. The price is the same as usual. A couple of days ago, I went there with my boyfriend and my girlfriend. We could eat and drink for a long time and it cost ¥3,000.
In conclusion, I really like this restaurant because it's reasonable, nice atmosphere, a little attention for the guests, and there is abundant food and drink menu. Though they sometimes serve too slowly, I think I will keep going there. If you feel like going there, why don't you go there? (378 words)

My favorite place 1
I’m going to tell you about one of my
favorite places. It’s my workplace. I’ve worked at a steak restaurant for a
year and 3 months. It’s located in Kaminoura Street, near Namikizaka Street.
Its name is Steak House Yodogawa. Though I usually work as a waitress, I also
prepare some dishes. Since April, I’ve worked with my friend, Misaki.
At first, I couldn’t work well and my boss
often scolded me, however, I got used to working there as I worked many times.
Now, I have a lot of junior staff and I usually teach them how to do the tasks.
Good points are that extra meals after
working are always delicious and my coworkers are kind. They celebrated my
birthday 2 weeks ago.
