I really like American hip hop music, so I chose this book. I know both new and old songs of the topic, however, I learned the history, classifications and some influence that it had today, for the first time.

For a long time, African-American people had been discriminated mainly by Caucasians and there were a large number of the poor around the world. Those who lived in comfort had no way of knowing the poor's lives. I think therefore hip hop is trying to appeal for the world's fairness and peace through music and arts.
